Hello

Hello, my name is Daniel Dias, a CPCAB qualified therapeutic counsellor, a Gestalt Centre trained couples and relationships therapist, a mindfulness and compassion teacher, and experienced bereavement counsellor. I am a member of the BACP.

I offer solution focused integrative psychotherapy, relationship counselling, therapy, and coaching. What that means in plain English is that my approach draws on many different aspects of theory and experience. I offer new ways of thinking, strategies, and reflections on how to resolve conflicts, repair ruptures, recapture intimacy, revitalise the erotic, and build a better future together.

I understand and respect the courage it takes to seek help for our most intimate relationships. You will find me empathic to your problems, trustworthy, fair, and candid. I value each client as a unique person and I look forward to meeting and working with you. Click here to make an appointment.

How I Work

How I Work

Initially we will have a free-of-charge no obligation telephone or online introduction of approximately 20 minutes. During which we can get to know each other, you can assess if you feel I am right for you and vice versa.

Following this initial introduction we will book our first 90 minute session for both of you attend.

Approximately one week after our first session, I will have an individual one off 60 minute session with each of you.

Again, approximately one week after that we will start our regular 90 minute fortnightly sessions.

The number of sessions we have together is entirely in your control, you decide upon what you would like to work and for how long.

My Focus

My Focus

In a word "you", my entire focus and approach is on facilitating a space and a programme for you to achieve both your relationship and therapeutic goals.

During the early stages of our relationship we will work together to identify the destructive, painful, and unhelpful, processes and behaviours that are negatively impacting your ability to repair, maintain, and enhance your relationship.

Once we have identified your most pressing issues, together we will set your relationship and therapeutic goals. I will suggest and offer strategies, exercises, reflections, and new ways of thinking designed specifically to help you achieve your goals.

Whether you have come to me in a moment of crisis, with a relationship in need of repair, or simply that you want to explore way of enhancing your relationship. I am sure I can help find you ways to do that.

Fees

Fees

My fees are designed to be fair, reasonable, and accessible. Please bear in mind when considering whether to work with me that couples sessions are 1 1/2 hours rather than 50 minutes, and that my sessions are fortnightly as opposed to weekly.

Longer sessions fortnightly allows more time and space for discovery and reflection. More time for new strategies and thinking to embed themselves in your relationship, and test what does and doesn't work for you.

I offer discounts if you book your sessions as a block. Please find below my current fees as at 1st January 2024:

Initial telephone or online introduction - Free-of-charge

90 minute face-to-face couples session - £75

50 minute face-to-face individual session - £60

My Story

My wife and I are parents to three wonderful grown up children with two grandchildren. I have varied interests from technology to sport, I am a keen golfer and at sixty-one still play walking football.

In addition to my specialist couples and relationship training, I am a trained loss, grief, and bereavement counsellor. I work as part of the Volunteer Bereavement Service at Saint Francis Hospice.

I arrived at therapy five years ago after a thirty-eight year wide and varied corporate career that took me on a journey through banking, stock broking, travel, the airline industry, commercial and residential property.
